This rather impressive set of 15 full leather bindings arrived here in a bit of a sorry state.
Work carried out included – reinforcing the board attachment, new endbands being sewn, corners and board edges being consolidated and repaired and missing areas of leather being made up.
Missing areas of tooling was then re-tooled with gold leaf and aged and finally the leather was cleaned and dressed.
